There are many other ways to support MKI's work. Please have a look below for different options. If you have any questions or would like to talk to anyone about these options, please contact us.
Remember MKI in your will
By remembering MKI through a legacy in your will, you are making a unique commitment to a cause that makes a real difference to people’s lives. We rely on the generosity of our supporters – without you our work would simply not be possible.
A legacy is a stipulation in your last will that’s indicates that you leave a clearly specified amount of money , securities portfolio, real estate (such as a house) or a work of art to the person or organization chosen by you.
If you have already made a will
If you have already made a will, but would like to leave a gift to MKI, you can do so by making a simple addition to your existing will. This is called a codicil. If you would like further information about amending your will, please contact us.
If you have not already made a will
If you do not have a will at the moment, we would strongly advise you to see a solicitor. Although you will have to pay a fee, you will receive professional advice and can be sure that your wishes are achieved.
How to leave a gift to MKI in your will
Residuary gift - you can choose to leave a share, or the whole, of what is left in your estate once you have provided for you loved ones. Pecuniary gift - you can choose to give a gift of a fixed amount of money
MKI does not pay inheritance tax
As a public benefit organization (ANBI) MKI does not pay any inheritance tax, tax on an inheritance/legacy. Your gift benefits our mission: healthcare is a human right. So your estate will end up well.
