MKI Health-ID®
MKI Health-ID® (health passport) is a new, rather unique approach for the collection of a person's medical information and history in one handy booklet. This passport-sized Health-ID is not only easy for the patient, but it is just as easy for the medical personnel to get insight into the medical history of the patient, including all previously performed (blood) tests in a quick, simple and as complete manner as possible.
The target group of the MKI Health-ID® are especially mothers and children. The Health-ID’s biometric fingerprint recognition is essential to the identification of the holder.
After evaluation of this pilot project MKI will investigate jointly with the Public Health Department of South Africa whether it is sensible to adopt the MKI Health-ID® at a large scale.
MKI Health-ID® has received the support of the South African Red Cross Society to reach the best possible coverage in healthcare for every individual citizen inside the whole of South Africa.
